11] SB-125 HIGH-INTENSITY UV LAMP




The Spectroline model SB-125 ultraviolet lamp produces up to one-third greater long wave UV intensity
than competitive 125-watt units! Its state-of- the-art design dramatically reduces inspection time and
increases operator efficiency, making it ideal for nondestructive testing and quality control inspection.

Superior UV irradiance is attributable to a unique specular finish reflector. Specially contoured to its
integrally filtered 125-watt bulb, the reflector is made of corrosion-resistant anodized aluminum to maintain
maximum intensity over time. The lamp produces a steady-state 365nm irradiance of 9,000 µW/cm2 at 15 inches
(38cm), enabling detection of even the smallest cracks or defects.

The SB-125 is designed not only to optimize UV intensity, but to safeguard the user as well. The hand grip. It
detaches easily from the metal handle of the transformer base for hand-held use or may be rotated 360° in both
horizontal and vertical positions while mounted for bench use. The transformer has a special heat-resistant, 3-wire
secondary cord to reduce shock hazard. Tough and dependable, both the lamp head and base are housed in rugged
aluminum.

For added protection, the unique Spectroline model AF-125 absorption filter/splash guard is available. This filter
absorbs any harmful UV-B (312nm) radiation and shields the bulb from splattering liquids.
